The Tibetan Part of 77 Days by Emerging Director ZHAO Hantang(ZHAO Yi) Wrapped

 

  

  77 Days, an adventurous outdoor reality film was a “Special Award” winner in “Project Pitches” section in the 4th Beijing International Film Festival - Beijing Film Market. After two days of individual meetings, the distinctive film soon gained favor from the investors and attracted placed sponsorship of outdoor brands. Director ZHAO Hantang (ZHAO Yi)’s debut 77 Days, a wasteland version of Life of Pi, entered its production phase in October. As the director of photography, Master Photographer Mark Lee Ping-Bin went into Tibet with the crew. Its shooting in Changtang Natural Reserve in Tibet was completed in December 2014.   

                      

   “Traveling is a kind of adventure, but life is the true adventure”. Adapted from real story named Chang Tang, Super Wasteland with a large readership and a click rate of 18 million, the film about one man’s traversing alone through uninhabited land in Changtang in 77 days has been honored by media as a new version of My Life as an Explorer and the Best Book in the 6th Outdoor Golden Rhino Awards in China.  

  Actor ZHAO Hantang (ZHAO Yi) played in TV Series including Palace of Desire, Thank You Sir, Kangding Love Song, Lv Bu and Diao Chan, The Case of Lost Baby-Prince, The Untold Story of Tibet, Lumiere, Once Upon A Time In Shanghai, etc. Fond of outdoor and climbing activities, he drove through the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and northwest frontier all by himself, climbed mountains over 6000 meters, published his photography works and traveling articles in many domestic traveling & photography magazines, and made in-depth exploration into Changtang; all these laid a solid foundation for his 77 Days.
