The Korean Film Council’s China Office (Beijing) was established on July 23rd of 2009 at the Korean Cultural Center in China. It works to develop co-productions, as well as promote Korean films. To focus on co-productions, KOFIC operates the Film Business Center, along with preparing and developing projects such as Ko-Production in Beijing, Korean filmmakers’ showcase in China, and hold Korean film festivals in association with China State Administration of Radio Film and Television. The businesses KOFIC operates in Beijing will work to build a stronger relationship between Korea and China and the two film industries.
