2017 Press Conference of China Film Foundation--Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents

　　Founded in 2014, China Film Foundation-Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents is the only charitable fund for young film talents under China Film Foundation. The fund is committed to building charity service platforms and young film talent cultivation platforms, organizing film selections and rewards, supporting and recommending promising youth film projects, and enhancing the influence of Chinese young film talents.

　　In association with domestic and foreign film festivals, film & television companies, as well as professional film & television colleges and universities, the fund provides training, promotion and financial support for young film talents, gives full play to the features of the charity fund,focuses on training three types of young film talents--young directors,young screenwriters and young producers, and has gradually developed into an incubator for Chinese young film talents.

　　Highlights

　　· Scouting the most promising young film talents Founded in 2014, Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents initiated by China Film Foundation (CFF) is the only charitable fund for young film talents under CFF. The fund will inherit Wu's lifelong devotion to Chinese films, build charity service platforms and young film talent cultivation platforms, organize film selections and rewards, support and recommend promising youth film programs, and enhance the influence of Chinese young film talents.

　　· China's only youth film charity fund launches an all-round support plan for 2017 China Film Foundation--Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents will launch the plan for young film talent scout, training and support in the coming year. Targeting young directors, screenwriters and producers,the plan involves award for outstanding projects, young screenwriter’s workshop, young producer’s workshop, screenwriting master class,pitching event and summit forum for young talents and other events.

　　· A platform via which Chinese young film talents go out China Film Foundation--Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents will work with Film Market of the Festival de Cannes to select outstanding young producers for "Cannes Film Festival Producers Workshop",build an international exchange, promotion and cooperation platform for outstanding producers, encourage them to develop projects with international vision and help them go out.

　　· A young director recommendation platform pooling industrial strength to support young film talents Announcing the launch of "Young Director Recommendation Platform",holding a session every two weeks (20 sessions per year), recommending two or three young directors in each session, inviting heads of project departments of film production companies, producers, film critics, as well as promoters from promotion and distribution companies to the event,and gradually building the event into the closest and most direct exchange platform between young directors and producers.
