Scheme for the Press Conference of the 13th Chinese American Film Festival

　　Introduction

　　Founded by EDI Media Inc., supported by the Film Bureau, TV Drama Department and International Affairs Department of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China, Motion Picture Association of America,the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the United States of America, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Los Angeles and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in San Francisco, the Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) is the only Sino-U.S. film culture exchange program that two US presidents recognized by letters of signature; the only Sino-U.S. film culture event written into the U.S. Congress Annual Report and the history of the U.S.Congress; the only national film culture program included in the list of U.S.-China High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange and Cultural Activities earliest (listed once again in 2016); as well as the only overseas film festival awarding the most popular U.S. films in China on behalf of the Chinese film market. In recognition of CAFF's outstanding contributions to Sino-U.S. cultural exchange for 12 consecutive years,the Government of Los Angeles County named November "Month of Chinese American Film Festival" in celebration of the annual Sino-U.S.film culture event. In the day of the Award Ceremony, U.S. congressman Loretta Sanchez issued a certificate on behalf of Los Angeles, naming November 2 Los Angeles' "Month of Chinese American Film Festival".In an entire month, Film & TV Market, Summit, Opening Ceremony,Award Ceremony, Film Screening and other events will be held during CAFF, to further cement Sino-U.S. film & TV cooperation and exchange.After 12 years of persistent efforts, CAFF has become an annual Sino-U.S.cooperation and exchange event in Hollywood. From October to November every year, film elitists from across the world will get together in Hollywood known as a film capital to cheer for the opening of CAFF.

　　CAFF expects to build another exchange platform for Chinese and U.S.filmmakers during BJIFF, to introduce Chinese films to Hollywood and the world, and add splendor to BJIFF. In view of that, we hereby apply for holding the Press Conference of the 13th Chinese American Film Festival during BJIFF.

　　Leaders of Chinese and U.S. film & television authorities, heads of film & television companies, renowned actors/actresses and reporters will be invited to the Press Conference of the 13th Chinese American Film Festival, to introduce the schedule of the 13th Chinese American Film Festival.
