As an important part of the 1st Beijing International Film Festival, Beijing Film Business Negotiation was held on April 24-26, 2011, in Beijing International Hotel. With 100 booths in place, the three-day event attracted more than 860 film industry insiders from 334 film-related companies, organizations and agencies all over the world, including Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, German Films, Tokyo International Film Festival, South Korea CJ Entertainment, August First Film Studio, Wanda International Cinemas, etc. After three days of film screening, road show and business negotiation, a total of 10 cooperation agreements were signed at the closing ceremony, with combined contract value worth 2.794 billion yuan, a record high in all international film festivals ever hosted in China. Among the ten agreements, six were co-production contracts, with others being film funds and film production bases, etc., and eight of them were worth more than 100 million yuan. Those ten programs were co-production Flying Tiger, with contract value of 520 million yuan, co-production Way of Rat, with contract value of 611 million yuan, co-production Looper , with contract value of 390 million yuan, concession program The Four, with contract value of 120 million yuan, special fund program Tang Dynasty’s Mystic Map, with contract value of 72 million yuan, fund program Beijing Zhongguancun Movie & Television New Media Copyright Fund, with contract value of 200 million yuan, Huairou Underwater Filming Base Project, with contract value of 200 million yuan, co-production Shangri-la, with contract value of 469 million yuan, co-production Lilium Tsingtauense, with contract value of 520 million yuan, and co-production Aurora, with contract value of 163 million yuan.
