　　SYNOPSIS:

　　It is the 1990’s in Scandinavia and a mentally troubled criminal, SIGGE STORM, is about to be released from an experimental psychiatric hospital. He makes a demoralised attempt to return to society, which further alienates him from his family. When Sigge returns to the comfortable clinic, he is welcomed with open arms by the staff. Why would he ever want to leave? Changing his name to MADS LAKE, he implies that he might be involved in a long unsolved murder. His therapist, ANNA RUDBECK, is very inspired and motivated by his confession, but breaks confidentiality and calls the police. As Police Investigator SÖREN RANK, working closely with Anna and Mads, it appears to uncover multiple murders. Over the next several years, an increasingly drug dependent Mads becomes a conviceted serial killer. However the uneasy triumvirate of therapist, policeman, and criminal patient, all have a vested interest in this status quo and a deepening co-dependency threatens to consume them all.
