Synopsis:"Chibi Maruko Chan: The fantasy notebook" is based on the world of Chibi Maruko Chan, a popular Japanese Manga by the legendary cartoonist Momoko Sakura. It is a new story jointly created by the original team Sakura production and the prestigious director Xue Xiaolu. It is also the first time Chibi Maruko has landed on the big screen in 3D image. The film tells the coming-of-age story of Chibi Maruko crossing into a fantasy world which is constructed by literal words. Through the adventurous journey, she eventually understands what does family, love and friendship means and gained self-growth through all these wonderful experiences.
