Synopsis：As summer approached, the village man's land was facing demolition. He needed that money to marry his son, who was working in the city. So he went to ask about the compensation. Being told that his family's ancestral grave could not be kept alone, the man had to give up selling the land because he had promised his 80-year-old demented mother that she would be buried with his dead father in the family grave. One day, his son came back with his girlfriend from the city. The man was so satisfied with his daughter-in-law that he urged his family to work together to promote the marriage while his daughter and wife resisted. The isolated man is determined to collect money elsewhere, but being humiliated there. His daughter went to a revenge, but was hit at her head and this man was afterwards being hated by their enemy. After all these, this man finally learned that the bride's parents ask for a huge amount of bride price to persuade the marriage. The man was frustrated and planned to tell everyone about his decision to give up this marriage. The whole family gathered up at summer busy time, in order to prove that she can protect the family too, the man’s daughter sets fire to the enemy's warehouse, but being immediately knocked down soon after the fire was burned. Through humiliation and despair, she understood why her father adopted her brother. And also, she sympathized his father about the idea to promote his brother leaving the countryside. On next day, the whole family gathered and waited for the man's final decision. During the talk, the man learned that his daughter-in-law was already pregnant. The man was thrilled, he decided to sell his land. At the same time, his adopted son overheard his real life story. At that night, the man penalized himself to his demented mother about not being able to keep the promise to let her buried together with his father in that family grave. Some days later, one morning, his son walked in the hospital corridor to accompany his girlfriend’s miscarriage, while his old mother ends her life silently at home, whilst the man stands in the long line to wait for the contract of selling land.
