GD FILM DIRECTOR’S GUILD (GDFDG) is subordinated to Guangdong Film Association, which is one of the associations of Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles. By collaborating with the members and cooperating with film workers all over the world, GDFDG empowers the development of Guangdong film industry by providing various professional services through the South China Film Service platform, including policy consultancy, permit application, production co-ordination, production, agency, marketing, distribution and more. Mr. John Cheung, the director of GDFDG, established the "Director's home" in 2019, and have gathered nearly 200 professional members, including those most creative and productive companies and individuals in the Greater Bay Area (Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and more regions). These comprises the most professional, systematic and executive comprehensive platform for film and television talents in South China at present. In 2020, the first "Director's home" interactive space in Guangdong settled down in the Huaguoshan Ultra High Definition Video Industry Base in Guangzhou. In the same year, "GD short video competition" and "GD film plan" was successfully executed, and thousands of filmmakers send their works and plans to participate, showing the marvelous vitality of the film industry in the Greater Bay Area.
