Synopsis: In 1937, the newly established "Manchukuo Film Association Corporation" assigns Kimura, a young and innocent man, to Fengtian to deal with the Chinese cinemas. Unexpectedly, the cinema bosses are all obedient to Shen Yingshan, the boss of Min’an Cinema. Shen refuses Kimura's request because his originally intends to build a theater only for the Chinese. However, Lin Xiaoyue, his old love and the actress of Manchukuo Film Association Corporation, pulls him into a dilemma. They once promised to hold the premiere at the Min'an Cinema, and Shen is a man of his words. More importantly, Shen has already felt the irresistible force shrouded over the occupied land. His lover or national hatred, his life or his cinema, how can he stick to his original aspiration on the occupied land with deep desperation?
