This film is based on true events and recounts the tale of Udham Singh’s March 1940 assassination of Michael O'Dwyer in London. In his youth, Udham Singh was a dedicated revolutionary who fought for freedom and equality. In 1919, he witnessed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, which led him to take part in the revolution against India’s colonial rulers and saw him end up in prison. After he was released, Udham Singh fled to London and became ensconced in a local revolutionary organization, bidding his time to seek revenge. Six years later, he assassinated Michael O'Dwyer and wounded many other former senior members of the British India government who were attending a meeting at Caxton Hall. Carrying an open wound for 21 years, Udham Singh tirelessly persevered in his quest for revenge and finally died a martyr’s death.
