In order to fully implement the key spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, “We will stay firmly rooted in Chinese culture. We will collect and refine the defining symbols and best elements of Chinese culture and showcase them to the world. We will accelerate the development of China’s discourse and narrative systems, better tell China’s stories, make China’s voice heard, and present a China that is credible, appealing, and respectable”, the Film Power Forum on Industry - Projecting Your Stories Across Seas is to be convened on the morning of April 23 at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center. As the opening forum of the 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), the Forum invites the heads of major film companies, renowned filmmakers, industry experts and scholars from home and abroad to discuss the paths and methods of international expression and communication of Chinese films based on how to better tell China’s stories with a view to enhancing the communication and influence of the Chinese civilization.
