Benjamin, a PhD student without a grant, accepts a position as a contract teacher in a middle school. Without training or experience, faced with a crippled institution, he discovers the problems of the profession. Through his encounter with a group of close-knit and committed colleagues, Benjamin gets a glimpse of what makes the job so rich.

Thomas·Lilti's practiced his profession as a general practitioner alongside his activities as director and screenwriter until 2016. During his studies, he made three short films, which he presented at student film festivals. Thanks to these shorts, he was spotted by Alain Benguigui and Jean-Christophe Soulageon and will be able to make his first feature, Les Yeux bandés (2007)He collaborated on a number of television and film projects, often as scriptwriter.In September 2014, he released his second feature, Hippocrate. The film is a commercial and critical success, earning him three nominations at the 2015 Césars. In 2018, his third feature Irreplaceable will gather 1.5 million entries in theatres. Thomas Lilti will then have a TV series produced by Canal+, Hippocrates, before making another feature film : The Freshmen.
