Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, German director, screenwriter and producer. His first feature film The Lives of Others (2006), written and directed by him, won the 79th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film, and 61st BAFTA Awards for Best Film Not in the English Language; the romance suspense The Tourist written and directed by him in 2010 was nominated for the Best Picture - Musical/Comedy at the 68th Golden Globes; he was appointed a jury member of the Tiantan Award, Competition Section of the 6th BJIFF, in 2016; the feature film Never Look Away, written and directed by him in 2018, was nominated for the Competition section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival and 91st Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
