2025 marks the 120th anniversary of Chinese film and the concluding year for achieving the goals set in the 14th Five-Year Plan for film. At this pivotal historical juncture, the forum will review the development trajectory of Chinese film, summarize historical experiences, and analyze current state of the film industry in light of the 2025 Chinese Spring Festival box office success and its trends such as genre diversification, franchise development, and industrialization. It will explore how Chinese film can leverage these opportunities to transition from scale expansion to high-quality development, shift from domestic focus to global competition, and ultimately realize the vision of building China into a leading film powerhouse.
