Film Open Class is a new programme in the BJIFF Core Forum series of the 15th Beijing International Film Festival. It aims to meet the needs of China's film industrialisation and to focus on the technical system and historical legacy of the core trades of the film industry. Film Open Class invites senior practitioners in the fields of production design, photography and performance to analyse classic works and share their creative experiences through thematic lectures and dialogues, so as to provide a knowledge exchange venue for practitioners of various trades in the film industry, professional students and film fans, and to set up a public education platform for the in-depth linkage of industry, academia and research.
