5G, a remarkable technological breakthrough, will lead a new industrial revolution of data that subverts the traditional business forms. In June 2018, 3GPP announced the completion of 5G New Radio (NR) Standalone (SA) network architecture, indicating the birth of the first 5G standards in the world. On June 6, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China started to issue 5G licenses for commercial use, marking the first year of China for 5G commerce. How will the film industry, the model of leading technological development, embrace the new technologies? What changes will be seen amid the industrialization in China under the global technological revolution? How to further develop China’s film industry with 5G?
The summit will focus on the development and revolution of China's film industry in the era of 5G, covering the overall impacts (e.g. the production, distribution and screening of traditional films) to the film industry and the opportunities and challenges to Internet film enterprises.
