After growing up, he met Kirk who has the same great ambition. They grew up in friction and went through a lot together. One day, the old Spock from the future made a time travel and told Kirk that Nero, the remnant of Romulun in the future, has returned to the present and will lead an army to revenge. Nero has destroyed Spock's hometown Vulcan, his next target is the earth.
