With the theme "New Opportunity ? New Horizon", the Opening Ceremony of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) aims to promote the recovery and development of China's film industry, demonstrate the brilliant process of China's film development under the Party's leadership over the century since its founding, especially since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Under the goal of "enhancing international communication and influence, the ability of Chinese culture to inspire, the affinity of Chinese image, China's say and the ability to guide public opinions" set by General Secretary Xi Jinping, the ceremony will fully leverage the features of novel modern video technologies, the new stage and the "cloud" space, power programs with new technologies, connect scenes with online viewers by new technologies and means, and develop new expressive forms and interactive modes, so as to enhance the affinity and effectiveness of the festival, promote the global, regional and differential expression of Chinese stories and voices, and shape a new extraordinary international film festival.
