The 2021 Beijing International Film Festival—Filmmakers Marathon Relay is a marathon race voluntarily organized by the Beijing filmdom and veteran filmmakers and supported by the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival in partnership with the Athletic Association of Beijing for technical guidance. The event intends to invite a number of celebrities in the industry as promoters, calling on the entire industry to participate in the marathon relay. It aims to advocate everyone to focus on physical and mental liberation and balance work and life through running. By pioneering a new form of "film & TV + sports", the race further promotes and implements the health concepts of "Sports for All" and "Fitness for All" while expanding the influence of the BJIFF.

 

2021 Beijing International Film Festival—Filmmakers Marathon Relay

(i) Host: Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival, Publicity Department of the CPC Huairou District Committee

(ii) Organizer: More Joy Entertainment, Beijing Bravo Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd.

 

A total of 160 participating teams will be recruited nationwide, each of which consists of 6 runners (a minimum of one female runner). There are some 1,000 runners in all across 130 participating teams in the filmmaker group and 30 in the specially invited group (including teams of entrepreneurs, business schools and internet celebrities).
