On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the opening year of the next decade for the new development of the Beijing International Film Festival, at the critical junction where the two centenary goals and the two decade goals converge, the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival will review the Party's brilliant history, carry forward the Party's glorious tradition, and motivate film workers and enthusiasts to firm up their ideals and convictions, draw lessons from history and keep their mission in mind. It has specially planned the "Splendor of a Century--Thematic Film Forum on the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" as the opening forum of the 11th BJIFF. 

 

The China Film Development Forum of the 11th BJIFF will be held at Beijing Radio & Television Station on the morning of September 22, 2021. From the perspectives of "reviewing the past, building on the present and looking into the future", the forum will review classics, salute film veterans and film art, sum up the experience and outcomes of Chinese filmmakers over the century and look into the future, so as to continue pushing forward China's film industry. 

 

This forum will be broadcast on Beijing Satellite TV, as well as other platforms such as xuexi.cn, yangshipin.cn and iQIYI (“Online BJIFF” Section).
