Subvert Traditions from Tradition, To Share Creative Ideas with World-class Art Master
The film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon directed by Ang Lee is well-known in the circle of film fans. With the interpretation of Chinese aesthetics so deeply rooted in people’s mind, it has been highly praised at home and abroad. This year, Mr. Timmy Yip, a world-renowned film and stage art director, costume designer and visual artist, will be invited as the guest of the BJIFF Masterclass. Focusing on the theme "Rebirth of Chinese Traditional Aesthetics", he will share with us his insights on Chinese aesthetics and traditional culture in combination with his years of cross-border creative experience.
Mr. Timmy Yip continues to advocate his own ideas on the enlightenment of the culture on the future with constant explorations on the aesthetic value of the “neo-orientalism”. He focuses his creation on multiple fields such as the contemporary film, stage, art and literature.
