The 11th BJIFF - Timmy Yip Masterclass will be broadcast on iQIYI ("Online BJIFF" Section) on the morning of September 22. The Masterclass features Mr. Timmy Yip, a renowned film and stage art director, costume designer and visual artist, who will share his creation on multiple fields such as the film, stage, art and literature.

With constant explorations on the aesthetic value of the “neo-orientalism”, Mr. Yip has developed his own ideas on the enlightenment of the culture on the future. In 2001, he won the “Academy Award for Best Art Direction” (now “Academy Award for Best Production Design”) and the BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, as the first Chinese filmmaker wining the awards. He has cooperated with several world-renowned artists, such as Akram Khan, Yang Liping and Cloud Gate Dance Theater.

The Masterclass will also be broadcast on platforms such as xuexi.cn, yangshipin.cn and iQIYI (“Online BJIFF” Section).
