According to the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Chinese Film Industry, Chinese films have stepped into a stage of high-quality development. Chinese film industry must find the precise position in grasping a new stage of development, applying a new development philosophy and building a new development pattern, seize opportunities and take advantage of the momentum to forge ahead toward the goal of building a culture power by 2035 and following the path of high-quality development resolutely.

For this purpose, the forum “Film Power Forum—Innovations and Improvements in Film Criticism in the New Era” will be held at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center on the afternoon of August 18. The issues on the path of building a film power, constructing a film theory and review ecosystem in line with the development goal will become an important topic at this forum.
