The 4th US-China Film & Television Industry Expo (UCFTI Expo 2017) will take place at West Hall, Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) from October 19 to 20, 2017. This year’s expo will bring together filmmakers from all over the world to discuss the prospects of mutal cooperation and seek greater development, with Chinese market at the core. In 2017,there will be more additonal programs than in previous years, such as Film Creation Workshop, where attendees are given opportunities to have a deep face-to-face discussion with masters in aspects inlcuding the process of film making and co-production, expansion of TV, international marketing and financial transactions, as well as emerging technologies in film, such as virtual reality and augmented reality. This year’s Original Student Film Competition will be joined by NYU TISCH and American Film Institute (AFI), where the top-class film students from the US will gather together, an absolute eye-catcher in this year’s competition.
Under the support of the State Administration of Press, Publication,Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China and sponsored by China Film Co-production Corporation, the UCFTI Expo worked with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and The Hollywood Reporter to jointly host the inaugural Co-production Awards Ceremony in 2016, which earned a good reputation in Hollywood, while winning the high affirmation of Chinese and foreign filmmakers. In its second version this year, an increasing number of Chinese and foreign film and television stars and guests will gather to celebrate the grand occasion together.
“We are delighted to see that the UCFTI Expo 2017, built on what it previously had, will be developed and expanded on a much bigger scale, bringing more richer conents and choices to this year’s attendees. Meanwhile, we will address the importance of cooperation between different nationalities, look forward to the next successful year, motivate and deepen communication and interactions between Chinese and Amercian filmmakers as well as Chinese and foreign counterparts, and provide more direct experience for current and future film content creators and technical professionals,”said Ms. Bianca Chen, CEO of USChina Film & Television Industry Expo.
