This year’s film carnival was held from April 14 to May 1, with the theme of “A New Play of Films to Open Dream New Life”. The Carnival integrates the experiences in film and TV, science and technology, acousto-optic special effects show, gourmet food market, parent-child interaction, and many other elements. It particularly sets up a special film time square and a dream gallery. The highlight of this year’s film carnival is to further stress the application and experience of technological elements.

There are 13 theme areas such as Light and Shadow in the South of the Yangtze River, Flying Snowflakes, Dream of Star Coming True, and Glorious Times, as well as a parade performance route to allow visitors to experience an unusual carnival tour.

In the park of Dream of Star Coming True, tourists can participate in the Hollywood-level virtual shooting and experience the production of film and television special effects. After standing in front of the green curtain, posing, making virtual shooting and special effects synthesis, you can get on a pirate ship to save the beauty, or break into the church and shoot down dark bats.

During the tour, tourists can experience the wonderful experience of augmented reality (AR) technology in multiple places. For example, at the park entrance, huge whales will appear when scanning the QR code on the wall poster. If you scan some of the maps or identifications in the tour area, you can see various vivid pictures such as fire dragons, rockets, and wolves, and you can also make interactions and take photos. The venue for the carnival is the State Production Base of China Film Group, also the production site for many outstanding films.

In the block of Light and Shadow in the South of the Yangtze River, tourists can see the shooting site of Monster Hunt 2 with their own eyes, and imagine the pictures of Hu Ba running out of the film. There are also rooms of last century style in the Golden Wedding, and the supply and marketing cooperatives in the Under the Hawthorn Tree.

The 18-day film carnival activity has provided an interactive entertainment platform for citizens to understand film history, visit film props, experience film scenes and participate in film shooting.
