The 8th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) - “Tiantan Award” was held in Beijing from April 13rd to 22nd, 2018.

　　“Tiantan Award” inherits the values of “Beauty in Variety, Harmony in Diversity”, invites famous filmmakers as jury members, and continues its great reputation and brand influence in the industry with international vision, standardized procedures and professional level.

　　With the aim of “building a top film event, bringing together outstanding films, showing international vision and displaying humanistic feelings”, the event has sent invitations to prestigious filmmakers in the world. The jury consists of seven members, including one president and six members.

　　The Competition Department of “Tiantan Award” 2018 has received 659 entries from 71 countries and regions from six continents. After selections, 15 films have been selected to compete for awards. With varied themes, diverse genres and distinctive styles, the entries have improved significantly in quality compared to previous editions.

　　“Tiantan Award” 2018 presented ten awards, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Visual Effects. All awards have been announced at the Awards & Closing Ceremony of BJIFF 2018.
