Design plays an important role in the film industry — not only in films themselves, but also in film-related products and the film market in general. This year’s Film Carnival will bring together many world-famous cartoon film characters, which, along with interactive installations and games, will imbue the Carnival with interaction, playfulness and fun. There will also be a retail area, allowing visitors to take home products they like. As a peripheral market to the Beijing Film Market, the 2014 Film Carnival will introduce a “theme park” concept to the venue.
The Cartoon Entertainment Mega-zone
The “Classic Cartoons Superstars Tour” will be an unforgettable carnival experience for cartoon lovers of all ages. Cartoon fans from around the world will experience their favorite cartoon characters in an immersive, high-tech interactive space, featuring different characters each day. We have authorization from five world-renowned classic cartoon brands: Disney, Marvel, Hasbro's Transformer brand, Sanrio's Hello Kitty brand, and Shanghai Animation Film Studio's “Havoc in Heaven” brand. Cartoon stars will include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Spider Man, Iron Man, Transformers, Hello Kitty, Monkey King. Boys with dreams of being the next great hero should make the Transformers area their first stop. They'll get the chance to don their armor, grab a weapon, and fight evildoers together with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Girls can live out their princess dreams by getting their picture taken together with classic Disney princesses! Right next door you can go with Hello Kitty to the 5D Cinema in the magic forest, while Havoc in Heaven fans will get the chance to experience their favorite Monkey King stories. The event will be a one-of-a-kind chance to get up close and personal interaction with these classic cartoon characters and stories; not just close enough to see, but close enough to touch!
Classic Chinese Film Poster Exhibition
Chinese film has a history of more than 100 years. When we talk about classic Chinese animations and feature films, we imagine films such as “Havoc in Heaven”, “Calabash Brothers”, “Springtime in a Small Town”, “Sanjie Liu”, “Li Shuangshuang” and so on. Film posters are very important for film promotion, meaning that these classic images are captured not only on film, but also in pictures. The China Film Archive has selected some of the most classic film posters from their collection, featuring characters that are never far from our minds.
