The 6th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) Summit on the Beauty of Film, co-organized by China Film Association and China National Film Museum, will be held at China National Film Museum from April 22 to 23. Compared with the previous sessions, the 6th BJIFF is characteristics by the following highlights:

　　1. Grasping the development pace of the film industry, exploring rules of the film industry, providing reference for the industry.

　　Summit on the Beauty of Film (The Charm of Comedy Film), combining development hotspots of the film industry, is committed to deeply discussing and exchanging opinions on aesthetic effect and scientific law for comedy films in terms of creation and promotion from the perspective of film aesthetics, providing intellectual support for sound and fast development of Chinese film industry.

　　2. The forum conducts in-depth discussions for a wider range at a higher level.

　　Themed with “The charm of comedy film”, the forum focuses on the role of genre film in promoting box office. On the occasion, well-known domestic and overseas filmmakers, scholars and directors will get together to exchange creation concepts and skills, share their achievements and experiences, and predict the development trends of the film industry.

　　3. The forum focuses on giving play to the professional advantages of China Film Association and social education function of China National Film Museum.

　　In addition to thematic discussions, the forum will invite Rao Shuguang (Secretary General and Researcher of China Film Association) to give a lecture at Film Lecture. He will, from a more professional perspective, lead the audience to transfer from “seeing a film” to “appreciating a film”, feel the charm of comedy film, giving play to the functions of China National Film Museum promoting film knowledge and popularizing film culture, nurturing more faithful fans and supporters for Chinese film industry.
