Peter Chan
Peter Chan is one of the top ten directors in Hong Kong. The film Comrades: Almost a Love Story released in 1996 won 9 awards on Hong Kong Film Awards in the same year. He filmed his first Hollywood movie The Love Letter for Dream Works in 1998. In 2004, the film Three: Going Home directed by him was selected as the opening film for the Out-of-Competition Section in Berlin International Film Festival. He marched into the Chinese mainland market in 2005. In 2013, the box office receipts for his film American Dreams in China hit about RMB 550 million. In 2014, the box office receipts for his film Dearest in mainland China exceeded RMB 300 million.
