She won the award of best actress when she started her career at the age of 22, and she has harvested more achievements with the time went by. As for all the characters she has portrayed in her acting career, some are simple and unpretentious, some are charming and agile and some are crazy and tragic. All those characters are so real and vivid on the screen that they have presented a variety of unique charm in the reality. Her partners praise her “an actress at the cost of her life”. She values the emotional connection between the film and the audience. She interprets every character with her heart and has won compliment for her outstanding performance.

  Cliff Walkers
Qin Hailu plays Wang Yu, a female character full of power and courage in the film Cliff Walkers. When she heard the arrest of her husband, the weeping scene in the bathroom greatly touched the audience. She performed so vividly that the scene passed with shooting only once. In the film Young Style, she plays Ms. Sa, a teacher with tough appearance but soft heart as well as some impressive words. In the film Return Ticket, she plays Cao Li, a woman with miserable fate and strong character, and she portrays the wandering character in a vivid manner. She also plays the eldest daughter-in-law in the film Red Amnesia, and the film was shortlisted for the competition section of the 71st Venice International Film Festival.
  Young Style
Qin Hailu always supports the young directors. When the film The Piano In A Factory suffered from insufficient funding, she decided to ask for no payment from the project; moreover, she even took money out of her own pocket to help the director finish the filming for the simple reason that such an excellent film could be presented for the public. The film received a lot of positive comments after the screening, and Qin Hailu was also shortlisted at several film festivals for her performance.

  The Piano In A Factory
Behind various successful films stands Qin Hailu, a filmmaker with original aspirations, constant challenges and explorations. Apart from an actress, she also tried different roles behind the screen, such as a screenwriter, director, producer and executive producer.  As a screenwriter and starring of the film Return Ticket, she won the Best Original Screenplay. She stepped on the red carpet of the 3rd BJIFF with the cast & crew of Christmas Rose as an actress nine years ago; and nine years later, she appeared as a Jury member at the 12th BJIFF.
The BJIFF has witnessed the development of Chinese films and accompanied the growth of many Chinese filmmakers. We sincerely hope that Qin Hailu, a member of “Tiantan Award” Jury, can work with other Jury members to select outstanding films for all the audience with her unique perspective.
