The 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week, themed "Double Olympic Dreams in Images", is hosted by the BJIFF Organizing Committee, the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), organized by the Committee on Information of the COC and the Beijing Olympic City Development Center. As an important Olympic legacy brand project, the film week will spread the Olympic spirit, enhance cultural exchange between China and the world and help to build a great power of sports through the influence of sports films and TV programs. 

This year, Wu Dajing, the Chinese male short track speed skater who holds the world record and Olympic record for men's 500m short track speed skating, will serve as the publicity & promotion ambassador of the Beijing International Sports Film Week to enjoy the charm of sports films with all the film fans.

The Beijing International Sports Film Week this year will continue to carry out relevant events centered on sporting works and create multiple new contents.

Works Collection: The 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week will announce the rules for works collection during the event. In addition, the awards will be presented to excellent works selected from the previous sports film week to get awards at the 40th Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final. The cast & crew of Beijing 2022, the official film of the Beijing Winter Olympics, will also participate as guests in the film sharing section.

Theme Forum, Workshop & Masterclass, Sharing Salon: Panelists including Yu Baimei, Lu Hao, and Cai Xiaoling will be invited to attend the “Theme Forum: How to Tell Chinese Stories with Sports-Themed Films" and discuss the best ways to produce high-quality sports films. Yu Baimei will also attend the "Workshop & Masterclass on Sports Films" and analyze the intrinsic relationship between sports-themed films and Chinese stories. 

The film week this year will join hands with Kendal Mountain Festival for the first time, to hold a "Sharing Salon on Kendal Adventurer Spirit". A nationwide fitness sharing activity will also be held during the period to guide the audience to personally experience the Zumba fitness dance and enjoy the charm of sports.

Works Exhibition: The 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week will select outstanding domestic and foreign sports films and TV dramas for public screenings through offline cinemas and Online BJIFF — iQIYI Online Film Screening. Beijing 2022, the official film of the Beijing Winter Olympics, will be presented for the audience as the film screened at the Beijing International Sports Film Week. 

“Sports Film Project Support Fund": The Sports Film Week will continue to collaborate with the BJIFF - Project Pitches to establish the "Beijing International Sports Film Week - Sports Film Project Support Fund”. It aims to encourage the creation and development of sports film projects and promote the prosperous development of the sports film industry.

After the aforesaid events collaborating with the BJIFF conclude, the Sports Film Week will continue to hold a series of follow-Joint Exhibitions for Public Welfare: The 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week Joint Exhibitions for Public Welfare will collaborate with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to hold the screenings for public welfare, and join hands with the Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival to enrich the cultural life of the masses.

Professional Jury: The Sports Film Week will invite experts from professional organizations such as the Beijing Olympic City Development Association, Central Studio of News Reels Production, General Administration of Sport of China, Beijing Film Academy, China Film Art Research Center and Beijing Film and Television Censorship Committee to conduct initial and final evaluations of the collected films. The excellent works will be submitted to the 41st Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final. In the  recommendations for the “most popular film”, the representatives from authoritative mainstream media, online video platforms and self-media will make up a jury to recommend outstanding films.

Release of Excellent Works: In August this year, the Release of Excellent Works for the 19th Beijing International Sports Film Week will unveil the excellent works of each unit  to be shortlisted for the final of the 41st Sport Movies & TV-Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final and compete for the Mention d’Honneur.
