Meet Refreshing Beijing Film Market in the Spring
The 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) is about to kick off this spring. As the main event every year, the Beijing Film Market has also gained new vitality along with the warm weather and the renewal of all creatures. Three years later, the Beijing Film Market section will resume to be held offline once again to bring a fresh new look to the public.

  First-time Establishment of Cultural Derivative Exhibition  
The Beijing Film Market this year will set up the cultural derivative exhibition facing the public for the first time and the exhibition will be held at Langyuan Station, the film and television industry park. 
  
  Langyuan Station
The exhibition area is divided into two parts: the professional zone and the public zone. The professional zone has attracted some well-known film and TV companies or organizations including the China Film Archive, Beijing Ethnic Film Festival, Huaxia Film Distribution Co., Ltd., The Royal Film Commission Jordan, KOREAN FILM CENTER, The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, Tencent Music and HUASHI.TV. In addition, Warner Bros. will hold the WB 100 Celebrations in the public zone and the peripheral products of The Wandering Earth II will also be displayed and sold there. Moreover, the HiFashion Booth of Beijing Fashion Week, Kendal Adventure Base Camp, Bona Film Group Limited, Mtime.com, 52toys.com, Beijing Ever Summer Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Qishuo Film Industry Co., Ltd. will also attend the exhibition with their own IP products. 
 
  Fully Upgraded Project Pitches 
The Project Pitches section this year has attracted a total of 874 valid projects, a growth of nearly 2.5% compared to last year. On April 25, Peter Chan, Jury President of Project Pitches, and Zhang Ji, Yao Chen, Wen Muyun and Huang Xuan, Final Jury of Project Pitches, will attend the project presentations, provide comments from professional perspectives and conduct deep communications and exchanges with the project owners at the final roadshow. 
  
Final Jury for Project Pitches of the 13th BJIFF 
On April 26, a total of 33 projects including 20 script projects, 6 WIP projects, 3 projects for the Beijing International Sports Film Week and 4 projects for Hong Kong, China Subsection will attend an offline negotiation at Langyuan Station. All the guests and buyers can make appointments on project negotiation at the official website of the BJIFF.  
In addition, Zhang Songwen, an old friend of the BJIFF and a jury member of Tiantan Award, will give a performance class at the Langyuan Station with several young actors. 
 
Promoting Digital Economy Construction in Beijing
As the first large international cultural event in China in 2023, Beijing Film Market joins hands with financial institutions to promote the use of digital RMB, encourage the exhibitors, guests and buyers to consume with digital RMB within the park of Langyuan Station, the main venue of Beijing Film Market. Now, a total of eight catering enterprises have participated in the promotion.  
This activity is in line with the requirements by the Beijing Municipal Government for the construction of a global benchmark digital city.  
Organize the BJIFF Job Fair 
With the robust recovery of Spring Festival box office this year, the film and television industry has regained the new vitality. The demand for employment in the film and television industry will also greatly increase. 
The Beijing Film Market will cooperate with BOSS ZHIPIN to adopt a parallel mode of online and offline recruitment. As for the online, the BOSS ZHIPIN APP will set up a dedicated zone for the BIJFF Job Fair. As for the offline, the exhibition of Beijing Film Market will open a recruitment zone on the site. Some leading companies in the film and television industry will conduct recruitment and livestreaming, focus on the job requirements and accept resumes to boost the 2023 Spring Job Fair and encourage college students to participate in the cultural construction of capital city. 
Enhance the Quality and Quantity of Films in Market Screenings
The Market Screenings of the 13th BJIFF focuses on both the artistic and commercial aspects of films and a total of 22 outstanding works are selected to be screened for the guests/buyers, including hot films shortlisted for the Tiantan Award this year, the excellent films growing from the previous project pitches and the films winning numerous honors at major film festivals around the world.

  Diverse Industry Conversations and Events & Activities 
The Industry Conversations featuring professional exchanges and forward-looking discussions will provide a platform for professionals and practitioners to exchange views and share new expertise. The Events & Activities will refer to the standards for international film festivals and help participants display their own advantages and conduct in-depth market development and cooperation.
With the enthusiasm at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Beijing International Sports Film Week will also be diverse and colorful this year. From the opening to the closing ceremony, a series of collaborations and screenings will be held to expand the influence of the Beijing International Sports Film Week and enable more people to appreciate the spirit of sports and the charm of films.
