Under the theme of “Film Feast in Picturesque Huairou”, the 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) – Film Carnival will officially kick off at the Flower Sea of the Film Town, Yangsong Town, Huairou District on April 22. In April with the most beautiful sight, Huairou District is extending a warm invitation to all people to “spend their weekend at the Film Town”. 19 venues across the district (core areas: Zones B and C, Flower Sea of the Film Town, the Deer World Theme Park, and the Banying Liangtian Leisure Area; linked venues: the Mutianyu Great Wall, the Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area, the Yanqi Lake Scenic Area, the Lakeside Great Wall, Qingchun Wanda Plaza (Huairou), STAR CLASSIC, Tongniu Town, Guhuai Lane, Koutou Village, Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Senlan Cultural Tourism, Jinglin Bed and Breakfast, Kunlun Fight, Beijing Film Academy, the Yangsong Town Comprehensive Cultural Center, and the Forest Kingdom) will open their arms to welcome more than 40 activities and 100 experiential events from April 22 to May 3. A new recreation trend of “Fun Childhood in Scenic Outdoors” is being set will all-out efforts.

The opening ceremony of the Film Carnival is a reflection of the beautiful life and infinite excitement of the film town in the moonlight, with energetic and dynamic dances, well-known film and television songs, and “face-to-face” meetings with famous filmmakers. The theme activities of the BJIFF, such as the Kunlun Fight, the ReelFocus Program, and the Game-Based Animated Films Exhibition, will be launched on site, along with the presence of the representatives of the advancing teams of the film festival soccer competition and the champion team of the Run for Fun.

According to the organizer, this year’s Film Carnival actively pursues market-oriented operations in terms of experience upgrading, brand co-marketing, and platform sharing. By extending to the demonstration areas for all-for-one tourism in Huairou District from its base in the core areas of China Film Capital, we will empower the public with an all-round immersive experience in terms of food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping, and entertainment, and have a tight focus on new forms of entertainment and leisure consumption, in a bid to develop an influential cultural and tourism brand of “Spend Your Weekend at the Film Town”.
