Pitching Projects of BJIFF Accelerate Implementation
Vitalizing the industry not only requires good stories and filmmakers, but also needs financial support to help young filmmakers implement their projects and transform their stories into theatrical films as soon as possible.
Project pitching is one of the paths that many young filmmakers will select to realize their movie dreams. To shoulder its mission and responsibility of helping young filmmakers, the BJIFF has been actively creating its own pitching platform to help young filmmakers go more stable and faster in this industry.
Final-round Project Pitches of Beijing Film Market
Many people may still remember that at the Final-round Project Pitches of the BJIFF Beijing Film Market, which concluded last month, director Da Peng, a jury member of the Final-round Project Pitches of the BJIFF Beijing Film Market, said he is willing to help Tashi, one of the WIP projects, complete post-production, so that it can meet the audience as soon as possible.
It's learned that director Da Peng has quickly contacted the post-production company of Tashi after the closing of the BJIFF and provided relevant support, enabling the project to implement the follow-up work smoothly. According to the schedule, Tashi will become the first project of this year's BJIFF Project Pitches to be implemented.

In addition to Da Peng, another jury member Liu Haoran also contacted the crew of Tashi through the BJIFF Organizing Committee, saying that he would also provide some assistance for this project.

Tashi is the debut film of director Dargye Tenzin, featuring Su Mingqing as the producer. In this project, director Pema Tseden acted as the executive producer and was deeply involved in script revision. At the roadshow, everyone revealed their nostalgia for this talented director.
Apart from this year’s projects, The Dreamer in the Jungle, a WIP project which won the Most Marketable Focus Award and Team with Greatest Potential Award last year, also received support from Derek Tsang, a jury member of the Final-round Project Pitches this year. He promised to voice a character in the film for free and will start working on it next month.
This not only reflects the tribute to predecessors, respect for creators, and love for films from filmmakers of different generations and cultural backgrounds, but also shows their spirits of solidarity and friendliness in the light of the screen. The BJIFF is so pleased to provide an exchange platform for young filmmakers, through which filmmakers can make their dreams come true.

A film festival is an important field for filmmakers to meet and know each other. We should cherish the passion of filmmakers, especially young creators, and focus on building a professional platform that provides them with practical services.
The young creators who participated in the Project Pitches this year all felt the sincerity and concern of the BJIFF, and also expressed their gratitude after its conclusion. They not only highly recognized the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff, but also felt like they were back home at the BJIFF.
This is exactly the good atmosphere that the BJIFF Project Pitches is committed to creating -- cherishing the creativity of every young filmmaker, and assisting in every cinematic dream.

"At the Beijing Film Market, Just Say No to Self-Entertainment!", the Project Pitches allows every creator who comes with a story to have the opportunity of leaving with a film.
The BJIFF Project Pitches came to a conclusion this year, but our staff members still pay close attention to the progress of each project and will provide assistance at different phases with the spirit of “Everlasting BJIFF”.

We also hope that they can go home as soon as possible and return to the BJIFF, so that we can see how they make their dreams come true.
Film is our common language, and the screen is the paradise we yearn for. The BJIFF lives up to the expectations of every young filmmaker, and will always be their warm harbor, seeing them set sail and ride the wind and waves with concern.
