In September 23, 2021, the  “Honor of Kings” competition of the 11th BJIFF Game-Based Animated Films Section took place at State Production Base of China Film Group. It was guided by the Organizing Committee Office of the BJIFF and the Publicity Department of Beijing Huairou District Committee of the Communist Party of China, hosted by Shanghai Qianjing Cultural Media Co., Ltd., co-organized by the Cultural Industry Development Promotion Center of Huairou District and produced by Poly Pictures Investment Co., Ltd. 12 teams of film industry are divided into four groups for round-robin tournament, and the top four teams will be further assisted by the professional KPL players of the “Honor of Kings”. After exciting competitions, Sanmu Pictures won the championship, Fuzuo Pictures won the runner-up, Lexiang Culture and the Auman Galaxy won the third runner-up. 

 

After the official competition, more exciting star games started with Chen Duling and Sky Li Xiaofeng as the team leaders to present a highly ornamental and entertaining “Honor of Kings” competition for  the audience. After that, the Team of Youth Lights and Shadows composed of stars launched another battle of kings against the champion team Sanmu Pictures. 

 

On the afternoon of September 23, the red carpet of the BJIFF Game-Based Animated Films Section gathered many shining stars and the teams composed of the guests from the film & television industry and the film company representative showed up successively. Jacky Heung and Chen Duling appeared at the finale. The red carpet & opening ceremony was featured with high facial attractiveness and high quality, including the shining stars as well as the witty words from the guests. 

 

In that evening, Zhang Su, Deputy Director and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Lyu Xiaoguo, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of Beijing Huairou District Committee of the Communist Party of China and Yu Deli, Party Secretary and Director of Cultural Industry Development Promotion Center of Huairou District, and Party Secretary of Yangsong Town, Huairou District, Beijing, also attended the closing ceremony of the Game-Based Animated Films Section as the guests. Zhang Xinsheng, General Manager of Poly Pictures Investment Co., Ltd., Li Jian, Vice President of Foton Motor Group and General Director of Foton Daimler Automotive, Ye Ning, a famous film producer and Chairman of Huaying Tianxia (Tianjin) Film Distribution Co., Ltd., Cai Min, Executive Vice General Manager of Beijing Cultural Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. and President of Sparkle Roll Media, actor Jacky Heung as well as Chen Duling and other well-known artists and film company representatives attended the ceremony.

 

At the closing ceremony, Zhang Su, Deputy Director and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, delivered an opening speech. He said that e-sports gaming was developing rapidly and Beijing was about to formulate relevant management measures and favorable policies for the e-sports gaming industry. He welcomed excellent e-sports gaming to settle down in Beijing and expected the e-sports gaming industry could better integrate and develop with the film industry through the platform of Beijing International Film Festival in the future.

 

After that, the leaders as well as the guests of the film industry presented awards to the teams wining various honors. NetEase CC which provided live streaming for the whole game won the "Most Potential E-sports Live Streaming Platform” and Poly Pictures won the honorable title of "Special Contribution".

 

In addition to game-based animated films, the Game-Based Animated Films Section at this BJIFF also focuses on the development of ecological environment. Zhang Su, Deputy Director and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Lyu Xiaoguo, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of Beijing Huairou District Committee of the Communist Party of China, Li Jian, Vice President of Foton Motor Group and General Director of Foton Daimler Automotive, representatives of Auman Galaxy team, Liu Jianchao, an anti-flood hero and truck driver in Henan province as well as actors Jacky Heung and Chen Duling attended the launch ceremony for carbon neutrality on the stage. 

 

Gathering the industrial forces and leading the industrial trend, the 11th BJIFF Game-Based Animated Films Section has created a new model and possibilities to promote the interaction and integration of game, animation and film industries. The closing ceremony has come to a successful conclusion now and we are looking forward to the next gathering  in 2022.
