On August 17, Derek Yee, Jury President of Project Pitches, along with jury members Liang Lin, Zhang Yuqi, Ya Ning and Zhu Weijie, officially announced the awards for Project Pitches of Beijing Film Market at the 12th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF). A total of seven projects won the awards this year including It's Going to Snow at Night, The Wall, Sick Child, Still & Life, The Absent and Moon Field. As the exclusive music partner of the BJIFF, Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), China's leading online music and audio entertainment platform, would provide the supreme theme song creation and promotion services for the pitching projects to encourage the creation of more outstanding potential works.

As the leader of online music and audio entertainment service in China, Tencent Music has got involved in film and television music for years and cooperated with many well-known films to create the high-quality music works, such as the same-name theme songs for the film Cliff Walkers performed by Zhou Shen and the film B for Busy performed by Mao Buyi. On August 16, Tencent Music and the BJIFF Organizing Committee jointly announced the in-depth strategic cooperation. Both parties will launch the first international "Film Music Support Program" for the sake of the creation, production and content promotion of film music as well as the cultivation of professional talents. Both parties will also conduct further cooperation in the form of special support for the music of film projects competing at the BJIFF Project Pitches, promotion and recommendation of outstanding musicians’ film and TV music, film theme songs, selection and global promotion of outstanding film music, and others. Through its Great Melody Gala series of IPs, TME will partner with the BJIFF to launch the “Love of Music” Online Film Song Concert in the coming days.
