To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Warner Bros., the Beijing Film Panorama under the 13th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) launched a special section within The Carnival, WB 100, during which eight classics of Warner Bros. will be screened, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Gravity, and Mad Max: Fury Road in IMAX, as well as Casablanca, The Fearless Vampire Killers, The Shawshank Redemption, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and Aquaman.

Established in 1923 as one of the eight major production companies in Hollywood, Warner Bros. took the lead to produce and distribute sound films, of which The Jazz Singer in 1927 was the first one that had an extraordinary impact on the film industry.

A Still of Casablanca
Casablanca (1942), the most famous black film of Warner Bros. was directed by Hungarian director Michael Curtiz during the World War II and starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Adapted from the unreleased stage play Everybody Comes to Rick's, the film tells a love story of reunion and missing in a bistro in North Africa during the World War II.

A Still of The Fearless Vampire Killers
The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), a mixture of comedy and horror, directed by Roman Polanski is undoubtedly anticipated by fans as it was written and starred by Polanski. In this vampire-themed story, Polanski rarely incorporates humor into his unique ideas, which adds great appeal to this film.

A Still of 2001: A Space Odyssey
The three IMAX films under this section are all extraordinary classics. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) was widely recognized as the most prestigious film of Stanley Kubrick and hailed as "the greatest science fiction film in the film history" by Liu Cixin, sci-fi author.

A Still of Gravity
Another sci-fi film, Gravity (2013) directed by Alfonso Cuarón will show the audience the perfect combination of technology and reality in exploration of the eternity of the universe at cinemas.

A Still of Aquaman
Aquaman (2018) is the only superhero blockbuster with great entertainment in the list. James Wan, a famous film director of Malaysian Chinese descent, is known as "the most potential horror film director". Unexpectedly, he directed such a word-of-mouth blockbuster in both author style and superhero characteristics, recording over 2 billion yuan at box office, with the increasing reputation among the audience.
