The 14th BJIFF Beijing Film Market organizes the Outdoor Cinema with the theme of “Forever and Ever” at 7:00PM from April 19 to 22 at the Sunken Basketball Court, Langyuan Station. Films including Post Truth, Center Stage, Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, As Spring Comes Along and Summer Detective, will be screened, and there will be mysterious bands making performances. Director Dong Chengpeng, Stanley Kwan, Gu Xiaogang and Xu Lei will meet and talk with the audience at the end of screening. 

 

 

The 2024 BJIFF ZHAI YAO Card Game Invitational Tournament for Filmmakers is opening between 1:30 to 5:00PM, April 25, at Central Station, Langyuan Station! At the extraordinary tournament, you’ll have the chance of competing against top players from everywhere, and show your talent; and you’ll meet minds alike in the filmmaking community, and share with them joy and challenge of competition; and you’ll stand a chance to win plenty of film derivatives, and reward your gift and efforts!

Brand new hand painted “seven spider demons” are installed at the special exhibition area of Gift from China Film Archive, where film fans can take photos with those hand painted characters from the old film Spiders. The installation is a portrayal of seven emotions, i.e. joy, anger, sorrow, fear, love, hatred and desire, which sure will offer joyful interaction. 。

At “The Cinematic Futurity” Film Tech Exhibition held from April 20 to 21 at Langyuan Station, you’ll  meet characters from The Lost Tomb, Harry Potter, Spy X Family, Your Name, Suzume, Non-Human, Scissor Seven, and Link Click, etc. and run across top voice actors/actresses, prestigious cosers, VR idols and surprise stars! You can also dress up as your favorite character to the party and pay tribute to classic films and characters as young people do. 

 

 

More than 100 food stands are arriving at Langyuan Station. The Block G Food Court gathers more than 100 food stands, such as trunk coffee stand, taro paste dessert, freshly made specialty cocktails and co-branded food, for gourmets like you. Enjoy shopping and dining in nice spring!

 

 

The Film Tech Red Carpet co-hosted by the BJIFF and Peking University is to be convened at the Film Tech Exhibition area, Block H, Langyuan Station. Dozens of tech companies, AI pioneers and film and television companies join their hands in organizing the “The Cinematic Futurity” Film Tech Red Carpet. A 3D visual stage will be set up. And film fans may take photos of the Film Tech Red Carpet, and stunning visual stage, and film dance challenges. 

For the first time, the BJIFF collaborates with Xiaohongshu to set up an exclusive photo spot for film fans at the trunk road of Block A, Langyuan Station, from April 19 to 21. There is an oversize clapper board and a camera installation for you to live your “director dream”; a gashapon machine whose capsules contain either film line card, surprise derivative or “hard-to-grab” film ticket. Come and get the film ticket you desire so much! 

Linghe Media will make its debut at the BJIFF with so many gifts for fans. Character stamps of classic IPs like Three-Body II, The Land of Warriors II, The Mystic Nine, and Death Notify will be scattered round for you to collect. Film fans can prepare idle items in advance to exchange badges and cardboard cutouts, or exchange derivatives with other fans. Besides, you can also leave a letter to yourself in future, and the time mailbox will deliver the letter to you in early 2025, sending present blessings to the future.

Visit the Exhibition of A Thousand Faces at the E4 warehouse of Central Station, Langyuan Station, and travel back time.
