The Film & Fashion Unit was established with the aim of "leading Chinese films to empower the dissemination of Chinese fashion, and leading national brands to assist the development of Chinese films". The Unit consists of a series of cross-border fusion activities between film and fashion, including the "Light and Shadow Fashion Show for Leading Chinese Fashion Brands", which will pay tribute to film classics in the form of a fashion show, and the "Fashion Short Film Competition", which will tell brand stories from the perspective of filmmakers; the "Forum on Integrated Development of Film and Fashion" will explore the road of industrial integration and development "from image to influence"; "Light and Shadow Fashion Night & Honor Ceremony of Fashion Short Film Competition" will witness the honorary moment of the convergence and integration of filmmakers and fashion industry.

At the "Light and Shadow Fashion Show for Leading Chinese Fashion Brands”, BOSIDENG, the outstanding representative of national fashion brands, will present the "World’s First Launch of BOSIDENG’s Sun Protection Clothing"; and VICUTU, the representative of business men's clothing brands, will hold the "Light and Shadow Fashion Show and 30th Anniversary Gala Ceremony of the Brand" at the BJIFF’s Film & Fashion Unit. The two high-level fashion shows will be staged at Yanqi Island in Huairou, Beijing, in the most beautiful April with beautiful lake views, integrating nature and fashion, paying tribute to light & shadow and style, and bringing touching experience to the audience who love film and fashion.

The show will invite famous filmmakers, fashion masters, diplomats and other VIPs from all walks of life at home and abroad to empower the fusion communication and development of fashion and film.

The 14th BJIFF Film & Fashion Unit · Fashion Short Film Competition aims to tell good brand stories from the perspective of filmmakers. The competition will join hands with dozens of new directors and invite more than 20 famous fashion brands to jointly create short films on fashion brand stories. Up to now, various crews of fashion short films such as EMBRY, HENGYUANXIANG, HENRY GRANT, K-BOXING, LILANG, GIUSEPPE, TANGY, WANDIAN, VICUTU, XG, etc., have started the shooting one after another, and more than 20 fashion brands will compete for the honors of "Best Brand Film", "Best Director", "Best Sustainable Fashion”, "Best Photography", "Best Sound Effect", "Most Popular" and “Most Communicative”. The results will be presented at the site of the "Night of Light and Shadow Fashion & Honor Ceremony of Fashion Short Film Competition".
