Jury for Fashion Short Film Competition of 14th BJIFF Film and Fashion Section Announced
In this beautiful spring with a sweet smell of flowers, the Film and Fashion Section of 14th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) invites you to together embark on the film and fashion journey.
  
Jury for Fashion Short Film Competition of the Film and Fashion Section
Promoting fashion through films, the 14th BJIFF Film and Fashion Section is dedicated to advancing the convergence and development of fashion brands and the film industry.
Today, the Jury for the First Fashion Short Film Competition was officially unveiled, which consists of Jury President Su Mang, Dean of the Soul Art Center and Founder of UPOP, and six members (in alphabetical order of the first characters of their names in Chinese), namely David White, an Australian film sound designer, Chinese actress Lou Yixiao, Roger Tredre, a course leader for the MA Fashion Communication program at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, Chinese singer Shang Wenjie, Louise Wong, an actress from Hong Kong, China, and Chinese director Zhang Li. The Jury comprised of seven international filmmakers and fashion professionals will together decide on the winners of seven honors.

President Su Mang
Su Mang, Dean of the Soul Art Center and Founder of UPOP, was formerly President of Trends Media Group, editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar China, and Founder of the Bazaar Stars Charity Night. She founded the Chinese editions of several magazines, such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Trends Health, Harper's Bazaar, and Bazaar Men, and initiated the Bazaar Stars Charity Night, which donated the total amount of 530 million yuan to the society. She established the Trends Media Group, and presented Four Try, The Super Sisters, a women-focused talk show and other variety shows. In 2022, she founded the Soul Art Center and held the post of Dean. She was conferred the China Charity Awards twice, and honored as the CCTV Charitable Person of the Year in 2013.

Member David White
David White is an Australian film sound designer, sound mixer, and sound editor. He has participated in many excellent works, including Farscape, Mad Max 4: Fury Road, Guardians of the Galaxy and Happy Feet. He once won the Best Achievement in Sound by the Australian Screen Sound Guild and the Best Sound Editing at the 88th Academy Awards.

Member Lou Yixiao
Lou Yixiao is an actress, singer and musical performer in Chinese mainland. She has participated in a few musicals, including Tell Me on a Sunday, Out of the Dream, Monte Cristo, etc. She has starred in a number of films and TV dramas, such as Ipartment series, Royal Tramp, Fearless Blood, The War of Beauties, etc. She won the China TV Drama Award for Actress with Progressive Acting for the role of Huang Caiwei she played in the TV drama The War of Beauties.

Member Roger Tredre
Roger Tredre is a British well-known fashion editor, writer, critic and journalism professor. He joined WGSN in October 1999 and served as an editor-in-chief. He once worked as a fashion correspondent for The Independent and The Independent on Sunday, and as an art correspondent for The Observer. He writes articles for The Times and The International Herald Tribune on a regular basis.

Member Shang Wenjie
Shang Wenjie is a female pop singer, electronic singer-songwriter, lyricist and composer in Chinese mainland. Her representative works include Little Love Song, Be Free, When My Hair Reaches My Waist, etc. She ranked the first place in the national finals of the Super Girl in 2006. She is actively devoted to Sino-French cultural exchanges, and once served as a Sino-French cultural exchange ambassador. In 2017, she was awarded the title of “Sino-French Friendship Ambassador of the Belt and Road International Fashion Week”.

Member Louise Wong
Louise Wong is an actress and model from Hong Kong, China. Her representative works include Anita and A Guilty Conscience. She was awarded the Best New Performer at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards and the Best Actress at the 35th Golden Rooster Awards, and was nominated for the Best Actress at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards.

Member Zhang Li
Zhang Li is a director, screenwriter and producer in Chinese mainland. He has directed films such as Wash Hands, Silent Watchhouse, A Mysterious Robber, Dream Defender, Fish Under the Ice, etc. and TV series like The Legend of the Monster and The Strongest Men of God. In 2021, the film Fish Under the Ice written and directed by Zhang Li was awarded the Best Small and Medium Budget Film and nominated for the Best Screenplay at the 34th Golden Rooster Awards.
