In 2009,ASUS joined hands with the China Association for Science and Technology(CAST)to initiate the "ASUS e-Volunteer Action". Over the past 15 years,the program has reached over 8,000 rural villages,conducted more than 50,000 science education and volunteer teaching sessions,and donated over 1,000 digital education libraries Continuously focusing on left-behind children and the elderly,ASUS has been actively practicing philanthropy,striving to bridge the urban-rural  digital divide and support vulnerable groups.
Since 2019,the ASUS e-Volunteer initiative has officially launched its Social Good Video Project,collaborating with the Beijing International Film Festival(BJIFF)to provide a better platform for young talent. Countless young directors have been inspired and ignited with creatve  passion.Last year,the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section focusedits perspective on young people,caling for short films centered on the themes of"hometown,youth,and technology",which attracted over 600 outstanding student submissions.Additionally,a film festival creation camp was established for aspiring young creators,offering production training as well as workshops &masterclass to spark inspiration.
This year,the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section is setting off once again with the theme of "Al for e-Future",inviting passonate and visionary young people across the country to create freely around the three key concepts of "technology","public welfare"and "future".It encourages young creators to use their lenses to showcase the benevolent power of Al-driven technological progress while continuously exploring and innovating the expression forms of public  welfare filmmaking.
The section will collaborate with authoritative expert judges and higher education institutions to select outstanding award-winning works, providing young directors with a stage where they can "be seen and appreciated".This effort aims to empower emerging fimmakers to step  onto grand platforms and fulfil their cinematic visions.
The ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section of the BJIFF will soon host its 2025 Launch &Awards Ceremony,continuing to support the growth of young creators and letting the power of youth shine brightly!
