The 15th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) AIGC Unit in 2025 proudly presents the “Future Energy, Beautiful World” Sinopec Theme Competition. We cordially invite filmmakers from around the world who are passionate about AI to submit your works!

The submission for this theme competition seeks to explore the bright prospects of a sustainable future through the allure of light and shadow. Sinopec is committed to creating more opportunities for winning teams in commercialization, industrial applications, collaborative creation, and other areas.

Creation Theme: Create works centered on the theme “Future Energy, Beautiful World”, using AI technology to show the close connection between energy and daily life, profound transformations in the energy industry, and how sustainable energy empowers human society's development. We encourage exploration of the infinite possibilities in future energy from perspectives including energy transition, future energy and life scenes, and efficient energy utilization and protection. Create AIGC works that harmonize artistic quality with intellectual depth.

Guidelines:

• The work is recommended to include the Sinopec logo

• The work is recommended to include the “refueling” imagery

• The core of the work should be positive and energetic

Film Duration:1~15 minutes

Technical Requirements:

• The work must make appropriate use of AI technologies in at least one or more areas, including narrative techniques, visual aesthetics, visual effects, and sound creation.

• When submitting your work, please include a creation statement that describes the type of AI technology used in the creation and how it is applied in the film, including but not limited to: the AI tools and versions used, the generation process, key prompts and parameter settings, workflow screenshots, as well as reference materials used in the creation process and screenshots or short video clips of the generation process. This information will assist the review team in understanding the creation process and conducting technical reviews.

Film Format:MOV and MP4 (minimum 1080P resolution)

Eligibility:Open to global film and television creators, AI creators, university faculty and students, and teenage creators.

Special Notes:

• The copyright of submitted works remains with the creators.

• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use the works for screening, publicity, and other purposes at the film festival and its related events. (For details, please see the submission portal)

Work Scope:Films produced and completed worldwide between January 2024 and April 10, 2025

Best Creativity Film: Funding Support of RMB 10,000 (pre-tax)

Recognizes a film that demonstrates exceptional creativity in future energy concepts and application scenarios and the ability to best inspire the audience's imagination and expectations of the future energy world. We encourage creators to think boldly about the future energy form and how it could reshape society.

Best Narrative Film: Funding Support of RMB 5,000 (pre-tax)

Awarded to a film that seamlessly integrates energy elements into its science fiction plot, has a smooth and appealing narrative, and effectively communicates the theme.

Best Visual Film: Support Funding of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

Awarded to a film that perfectly interprets the theme in terms of imagery and scene design, and that shows the relationship between energy, nature, and cities through visual effects, with a focus on visual appeal and artistic communication.

Best Sound Film: Funding Support of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

Awarded to a film with exceptional sound design and performance, which can enhance the film's atmosphere and improve the audience's viewing experience. The focus is on the film's sound theme, whether it can effectively create an atmosphere and the innovative nature of sound production.

Best Technology Film: Funding Support of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

Recognizes a film that accurately depicts details of future energy technologies and serves as an inspiration or reference point for the development of actual energy technologies.

Best Environmental Protection Advocacy Film: Funding Support of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

We encourage films to vividly convey environmental protection concepts, demonstrate the importance of future energy in environmental protection, harmonious ecology, and other aspects, and raise environmental awareness.

Best Science Education Film: Funding Support of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

Designed for a film that can effectively raise public energy awareness and popularize energy knowledge.

Audience Choice Film: Funding Support of 2,000 yuan (pre-tax)

Through online voting, the audience chooses their favorite film that best reflects the theme of "Future Energy, Beautiful World," reflecting the public's preference and expectations for films on this theme and eliciting social resonance.

Best Brand Integration Film: Funding Support of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax)

Awarded to a film that can profoundly reflect future energy trends and sustainable development concepts while also cleverly and creatively integrating Sinopec brand elements and corporate achievements into the film's content and narrative.
