The 12th BJIFF–Run for Fun is organized by the Beijing film industry and veteran filmmakers on their own initiative, with the robust support of the BJIFF Organizing Committee, the Publicity Department of Beijing Huairou District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Beijing Huairou District Cultural Industry Development Promotion Center. The activity intends to invite a number of filmmakers to participate in the relay run for fun as the initiator, with the aim of balancing work and life through running. It creates a new form of film plus sports, expanding the reach of the BJIFF and further promoting the national fitness campaign and initiative in the field of film and television. Participate in the Run For Fun this summer, and let dopamine and sweat increase at the same time. Let’s listen to our body, welcome nature, feel life and embrace the freedom of running. The relay race is a demonstration platform for filmmakers. Whether you are actors or actresses on screen, directors, screenwriters or cinematographers behind scenes, editors or SFX artists in front of computers, or distribution and publicity staff running on home stretch of film release, the Run For Fun offers a stage to show your passion and persistence through running, and relay cooperation and heritage of filmmakers. 

It’s not only a running event, but also a joyful party and industry feast for filmmakers to network and communicate. There are various film-related photo spots on the big lawn next to the runway. In addition to running, filmmakers can chat with each other in a relaxing atmosphere. And each team participating in the relay run will have an exclusive camping tent, where team members can bring their friends and family to enjoy a film weekend, and leave their enthusiasm and sweat at BJIFF. The 12th BJIFF Run For Fun adopts relay of six team members. It’s jointly initiated by Li Jie, President of Alibaba Pictures, Xu Yiding, Vice Chairman of Beijing Film Society and Chairman of KAI Pictures, Jill Hsu, actress, singer and songwriter, and San Mu, publisher of the magazine Movie View. 

The event will invite film and television companies, artists and industry entities. Teams and individuals may sign up for the event via mini program. Join us!！
