Written and performed by a local non-professional cast, Nyamula follows Daisy, the daughter of a fisherman, as she forms an unlikely bond with an elderly woman named Dani who lives on the outskirts of a remote Kenyan fishing village. When fish begin to disappear from the lake, the community searches desperately for answers. Daisy's mother turned to God. Daisy's father turned to a group of radical fishermen. Others look for scapegoats, revealing the simmering tensions beneath the surface of the village.
