The annual pig slaughter at the grandparents' home in Osoblaha is a cherished family tradition. But this year feels different. Grandfather is reluctantly considering ending the practice - a decision that deeply unsettles Karel, his widowed son-in-law, who has come to find solace in this ritual. Raising pigs has become too physically demanding. As tension brews, Karel's overbearing nature and Lucia's failed marriage intensify family friction, while a brewing conflict with a spiteful neighbor threatens to boil over. When the butcher, Deda, arrives with damp cartridges, an unexpected challenge emerges that could derail the entire event. As the day unfolds, the strength - and fragility - of familial bonds rooted in tradition and love are put to the test.
